Painter + Mixed Media Artist

Melissia is the owner and founder of Schulz Design + Build and began her career as an artist and overtime shifted her focus to interior architecture. Now as an empty nester, she spends her free time painting acrylics and experimenting with mixed-media collages.

LISA BERRY
Ceramicist

Lisa creates ceramic sculptures in response to moments of awe and wonder. Inspired by nature, animals, the ocean, trees, human connection, emotional growth, and even pain, her work channels deep reflection and curiosity. She hand-builds solid forms with hollowed to 1/2" thick walls, refining each piece before firing, then completes them with glaze and mixed-media finishes.

ALEV ALTIGAN

Painter - Oil on Canvas

Alev Atilgan began painting in the 1960s, studying under several well-known Turkish artists and exhibiting in national group shows throughout the 1980s and 1990s. She held two solo exhibitions, including Lyrical Fairytale Landscapes in Istanbul, where her imaginative works invited viewers into dreamlike worlds that blurred the line between reality and fantasy.

NANCY LARSON

Painter

Nancy Larson is a watercolor and acrylic painter living in Portland’s Cully neighborhood whose work focuses on the abstracted landscape. She has a BA in studio art and spent a post graduate year at the Accademia di Belli Arti in Florence, Italy. She has exhibited in both solo and group shows in Oregon, California, Washington and Italy.

Mimi was 13 years old traveling with her family when she first saw ancient mosaic in the great Cathedrals of Europe. In those moments, she knew she would pursue the art form withj a passion throughout her life. Her Portland based studio now produces architectural and fine art mosaics for residential, commercial, and public spaces.

Jolinda grew up immersed in the natural beauty of Oregon, where forests, rivers, and stone landscapes shaped her early sense of wonder. From a young age, she felt a deep connection to nature, especially the riverbeds that remain one of her favorite places to be. Her hand-built, layered vessels emulate the textures and rhythms of those flowing waters.

Mark Tatom, founder of Tatom & Son Tile, is known in Portland and beyond for his high-end residential tile work. With decades of experience leading detailed custom home projects, he later expanded into mosaic art creating portable, personal pieces that allow for creative freedom. His mosaics range from abstract to representational, often inspired by the interests of those around him. Mark offers expert tile installation, in-home mosaics, and personalized commissioned artwork.
