MADE IN PDX: AN ART SHOW​

Design professionals, family, and friends, join us on Thursday, November 12th, for Made in PDX: An Art Show! It will be an inspiring day celebrating the incredible talent within our local design community.

​

Hosted at the Z Collection showroom, this event brings together a vibrant mix of paintings, 3D wall art, pottery, sculptures, and more, all created by Portland-based artists in our industry. Many pieces will be available for purchase, whether you're looking to elevate a design project, add a one-of-a-kind touch to your home, or find the perfect holiday gift.

The fun doesn't stop there! Enjoy holiday inspired appetizers and beverages served throughout the event. It’s a special evening filled with great art and company that you won’t want to miss. We can't wait to see you there!

Painter

​An artist based in the Portland area who specializes in reverse painting on glass, exploring a range of subjects from her immediate surroundings to captivating portraits. Andy's work beautifully blends technique and inspiration, showcasing the unique perspectives of the Pacific Northwest.

GABE SMITH

3D Wall Art + Mixed Media

An acclaimed American artist recognized for his intricate wood carvings, showcased in museums and galleries across the country. Originally a professional ballet dancer, Gabe has evolved into an award-winning choreographer and composer, creating mesmerizing scores for ballet companies and contributing to an Emmy Award-winning film. His diverse background enriches his artistic expression, resulting in captivating works that resonate deeply with audiences.

KRISTINA MCCLANAHAN

Paper, Embroidery, + Tile

A paper and embroidery artist with an eye for tile design and printmaking, Kristina works in multiple mediums to create artwork inspired by nature, vintage photography and typography. She recently launched Coffee and Cream Ceramics, a bespoke, handmade tile collection in 110+ colors.

Ceramicist

A designer, devoted wife, and proud cat mom, Victoria finds joy in creating with felt and the soothing rhythm of her vintage Lockerbie kickwheel as she brings her ceramic visions to life.​​​

MICKELLE SPARLIN

Watercolors + Mixed Media

A Pacific Northwest native, Mickelle loves mountains, seasons, coastlines, and gardens, constantly inspired by the world around her. She took up painting during the pandemic and never looked back, though she's always enjoyed creating with music, fibers, and wood. Her work explores themes of triumph over inner struggle, reflecting her fascination with resilience.

The floral artist behind Camellia + Twine, Madeline specializes in crafting beautiful, handcrafted wreaths. Her stunning creations are designed to enhance any space, bringing beauty and elegance that lasts through every season.

Mosaic Artist

Cecilia Meneau is the creative force behind Wildsville Mosaic, specializing in custom mosaic artworks that bring bold, vibrant energy to spaces worldwide. With a focus on mosaic murals and wall-hanging artworks. Her passion and talent for mosaic design shine through in each mid-century-inspired piece.​

MELISSIA SCHULZ

Painter + Mixed Media Artist

Melissia is the owner and founder of Schulz Design + Build and began her career in interior architecture it has shifted to her love of art. Now as an empty nester, she spends her free time painting acrylics and experimenting with mixed-media collages.

LISA BERRY
Ceramicist

Lisa creates ceramic sculptures in response to moments of awe and wonder. Inspired by nature, animals, the ocean, trees, human connection, emotional growth, and even pain, her work channels deep reflection and curiosity. She hand-builds solid forms with hollowed to 1/2" thick walls, refining each piece before firing, then completes them with glaze and mixed-media finishes.

NANCY LARSON

Painter

Nancy Larson is a watercolor and acrylic painter living in Portland’s Cully neighborhood whose work focuses on the abstracted landscape. She has a BA in studio art and spent a post graduate year at the Accademia di Belli Arti in Florence, Italy. She has exhibited in both solo and group shows in Oregon, California, Washington and Italy.

JOLINDA MILLER

Ceramicist

Jolinda grew up immersed in the natural beauty of Oregon, where forests, rivers, and stone landscapes shaped her early sense of wonder. From a young age, she felt a deep connection to nature, especially the riverbeds that remain one of her favorite places to be. Her hand-built, layered vessels emulate the textures and rhythms of those flowing waters.

ROBIN FISHER​

Drawing + Watercolor Artist

Robin’s practice is rooted in a lifelong relationship with art and a deep appreciation for visual expression. Working primarily in watercolor, pen, and pencil, she explores emotion, perception, and the quiet complexities of everyday experience. With four decades of experience in interior design, Robin brings a refined sensitivity to composition, balance, color, texture, and spatial relationships. After a lifetime of collecting and living alongside art, she has embraced her creative practice as an essential form of exploration and connection that grounds, challenges, and nourishes her.

KAT GILPATRICK

Mix-Media Artist

Kat is a contemporary visual artist, painter, illustrator, designer, and writer whose work is a love letter to color and the beauty of everyday life. She collects colors, textures, images, and adventures, gathering inspiration through travel with a sketchbook and camera. These impressions become saturated, gem-like paintings filled with energy, pattern, and joy. She creates work for herself and others, including commissions and gifts. With a background in Art and Languages, Kat brings a curious and expressive perspective to her practice, working primarily in acrylic, vintage papers, and oil pastel.

​JUSTIN SMITH

Furniture Designer + Woodworking

Justin Smith's study in design and woodworking began 20 years ago as an apprentice in Montana, while also completing a Master’s degree in architecture at the university. Many splinters and adventures later, he completed a Mastery Study at The Northwest Woodworking Studio in Portland. All the while, Justin has been working in the residential architecture and design industry, culminating in the founding of Seed + Smith Design & Architecture with his colleague, Mary Seed, in 2024. Justin's knowledge and involvement in architecture directly influence his furniture designs and conversely, his knowledge of furniture design and making influence his work in architecture.

Painter

Kendall is a painter whose work is deeply connected to nature and the immediacy of the making process. Each piece evolves through cycles of change and discovery, allowing the materials and the act of painting to shape the work. Everything that is touched carries a connection to the natural world and to the particular moment in which it is created.
